ABOUT KRISTINA


When assignments are handed to Kristina, there is never room for any qualms. She has the drive, patience, and positive attitude it takes to produce results. As an
undergraduate at Western Kentucky University (WKU), Kristina found opportunities to exercise her creative and professional skills through independently produced class and freelance projects, along with an internship in Washington, DC at Double R Productions. 
 
Shortly after graduating from WKU’s School of Journalism & Broadcasting, Kristina joined the production team of the national television show: Get Married - previously on Lifetime and WE tv networks. Within the first six months of her employment she experienced a three-fold promotion: from intern, to production assistant, and finally associate producer. 

Upon leaving Get Married, Kristina joined Encompass Digital Media as a Traffic Coordinator 
with NBC Universal. She was responsible for communicating with vendors and contacts at top tier NBC and Telemundo affiliates across the country to ensure commercial content was reviewed and ready for air. While working at Encompass Digital Media, Kristina also worked as a freelance editor at 

Mixed Bag Media. 


Kristina joined Atlanta News First (previously CBS46) & Peachtree TV: Atlanta's CW in December 2014 as a Promotions Coordinator & was promoted to Commercial Producer/Editor in October 2017. 
In the spring of 2023, Kristina was tasked with editing 
a 1-hour Peachtree TV original show: My Real Life. She became solely responsible for all aspects of post-production & graphic design, delivering 11 new episodes for air weekly. The model she created for the show became a blueprint for other local programs airing on Peachtree TV. In December 2023, Kristina was promoted to Executive Producer of Content Development for Peachtree TV - serving as showrunner and editor for Season 2 of My Real Life & the 30-minute show Leading Ladies. Producer, videographer, writer, editor and project manager are key roles she continues to play in the Atlanta News First creative services department. 
 
Kristina Hayes is a hardworking individual that is passionate about the production industry, and aspires to contribute to the making of quality programming that reflects, inspires & educates society.

Apart of a 2-person team that planned pre-production needs ahead of live Gala event (i.e. show outline, host stand-up scripts & graphic elements). Attended live Gala event, taking notes in preparation of edit, along with recording video footage. Next-day edit included video sources from 1 1/2 hour live Red Carpet Special, Performance stage footage, pre-produced packages & personal b-roll/standups.
